Recently, McDonald’s has launched a campaign portraying a box of fries carved out of a potato. They launched their campaign in the typical advertising medium. McDonald’s hopes to prove that their french fries are fresh and homemade through this print ad. This ad was created by Shanghai TBWA to promote McDonald’s to Chinese consumers by showing them that their french fries are made of natural and pure ingredients. McDonald’s also does a good job of showing that they are more than just “fast food,” by incorporating “Real. Good.” at the bottom corner of the ad. The ad is effective because of its simplicity, however I would include more color such as a red background, because the signature red and yellow colors always catch people’s attention.
